Dr. Sam Assassa, MD is a physician educator in aesthetic medicine and the Founder, CEO, and Program Director of the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery (AAAMS), an international physician training organization dedicated to education in aesthetic medicine and minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.
With more than 20 years of experience in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Assassa has contributed to physician education, clinical training, and the advancement of minimally invasive cosmetic procedures including injectables, liposuction, body contouring, facial fat grafting, nanofat, and regenerative aesthetic treatments.
Clinical Leadership
Dr. Assassa served as CEO and Medical Director of Pacific Lipo, overseeing clinical operations across three California locations: Beverly Hills, Newport Beach, and San Diego. In this role, he oversaw plastic surgeons and clinical teams, with responsibility for clinical quality control, procedural standards, physician oversight, and continuing medical education initiatives.
International Teaching & Training Leadership
Dr. Assassa served as Director and Lead Instructor of Non-Surgical Aesthetic Medicine Training Programs for AAAMS in Taipei, Taiwan and Monterrey, Mexico. During this multi-year international program, he supervised physician education and delivered training in injectable facial rejuvenation, aesthetic treatment planning, minimally invasive cosmetic procedures, and patient safety.
