A few weeks ago, the AAAMS Asia division successfully launched The 2nd Cadaver Dissection Master Course 2-day hands-on training in complication management for dermal filler injection danger zone in Nanjing, China. This workshop was co-organized by Jiangsu Province Hospital (the largest Provincial hospital in Jiangsu), the Department of Anatomy, Nanjing Medical University (Top 5 Medical school in China) and Starstyle Group (The largest aesthetic clinics franchising brand in China with 61 clinics).
This year, there have been several training facility hardware upgrades including built-in Full HD video cameras/microphones, Full HD wall-mounted monitors, and central switching system of all displays. These changes significantly improved the teaching/learning experience. During the cadaver dissection hands-on portion, the educators had full control of zooming in on any specific highlights while projecting it onto the screens. This allowed each physician attendee to easily see all of the details of the facial layers, blood vessels, nerves, fat compartments, and expressional muscles on the wall-mount monitors. The training was designed to enhance the physician attendees experience and provide a more thorough understanding of the relationships between clinical treatment and facial anatomy.
It was an honor to have Jhih-Jyun Wang, M.D., Ph.D. joining our training as an educator. He is one of the most famous facial anatomy clinical researchers and plastic/cosmetic surgeons in China. The workshop went well and most delegates were highly interactive during the training. We look forward to having another milestone soon.
