“Life-changing.”

Megan’s Story
Megan worked as a nurse anesthetist for nearly five years. She loved her work and was advancing in her career until she was in a serious car accident that required multiple surgeries and extensive physical therapy. Although she eventually recovered and returned to work, she found herself experiencing a panic attack every time she entered the OR. After the trauma of so many surgeries, Megan suddenly realized she never wanted to set foot in an OR again.
Megan came to terms with a harsh reality: her nursing career as she’d known it was over. She’d have to find a new way forward in her profession, but she had no idea what other fields she liked or how to make such a dramatic career shift.
For months, Megan agonized over her career path, uncertain what to do. When a friend suggested aesthetic medicine—and Megan took a leap of faith and enrolled in an aesthetic course—everything changed.
“Even though I recovered from my accident,” explained Megan, “it really took something away from me: my love for my former nursing career and my confidence that I could make a fresh, successful start. But when I took my first Botox course, it was like this thick fog suddenly lifted, and the sun came out because I realized I had found a field that felt like home.”
