Dermal Filler Training for Every Experience Level

Are you an RN, NP, PA, doctor, dentist, or dental hygienist interested in aesthetic medicine? Have you been playing with the idea of expanding your practice with dermal fillers? Strategizing about how Botox’s wealth of applications can help you attract new patients? Imagining how aesthetic medicine might offer a positive twist in your career path? Dreaming of how aesthetics training might be the key to a healthier, happier, more satisfying professional life?

If so, what’s holding you back?

Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced—We’ve Got Your Back

If you ask many medical practitioners interested in aesthetic medicine why they haven’t already integrated it into their practice, you’re likely to hear, “I have no experience in anything relating to aesthetics. I work in a completely different specialty. Even if I could find a training program that would accept me, I’m not sure how ready I am to jump into months and months of training.”

At AAAMS (the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery), we’ve found that many of our most promising aesthetics students once felt this way. They were highly interested in aesthetic medicine. They were aware of the growing market demand for Botox and dermal fillers. And they wanted to capture value from this fast-growing medical specialty. But they were reluctant to get started because they weren’t aware that we created aesthetic training programs for all experience levels—beginner, intermediate, and advanced. So, even if you have no experience, that’s no problem. We have a program, especially for you.

Faster and Easier Than You Might Think

Whether you’re brand new to aesthetic medicine or have long ago mastered the art of aesthetic injectables and are interested in learning advanced aesthetic techniques, completing a comprehensive training program is much faster and easier than you might think. This is because aesthetics training is simply an extension of your existing medical skills. This reduces the steepness of the learning curve required for performing aesthetic injectables safely, effectively, and artfully.

Say, for example, you currently work in pediatrics, emergency medicine, or surgical assisting. Even though you have no aesthetic experience, you’ve already honed your injection skills, understand basic practice protocols, safety standards, and so forth. Because aesthetic training builds on your current expertise, you can become certified in Botox and dermal fillers in as little as one week.

Brand New to Aesthetic Medicine? What to Expect From Your Aesthetic Journey

The first step of your aesthetics journey begins with our Introduction to Aesthetics 101 course. This virtual, self-paced mini-course is a virtually risk-free way to dip your toes into aesthetic medicine without having to make any further commitments. As its name suggests, it introduces you to the basics: the concept of facial beautification as guided by the ancient mathematical principles of the Golden Means, an in-depth look at facial anatomy, and an overview of the aging process and how to reverse it with the four Rs of aesthetic medicine.

The second step on your aesthetics journey is to sign up for Botulinum Toxins 101 and Dermal Filler 101, which include but are not limited to the following topics:

  • The history of neurotoxins
  • Molecular structure
  • Mode of action
  • Clinical application of neurotoxins
  • Clinical assessment, markings, and dosage
  • Indications and contraindications
  • Pitfalls of neurotoxin application and how to avoid them
  • Facial analysis pertinent to dermal fillers
  • Classifications of dermal fillers
  • Indications and contraindications
  • Anatomy of regional facial nerve blocks
  • Injection techniques for the upper, middle, and lower areas of the face
  • How to avoid and treat filler complications

Keep in mind that if you prefer to roll these three courses into one, you can do so by signing up for CE Accredited Facial Aesthetics Series 101. (And by choosing this option, you get 10% off your tuition costs!)

The third and final step on your aesthetic journey is to complete your certification course: CE Accredited 101 Hybrid or CE Accredited 101 Virtual. This course is a two-day, hands-on training intensive supervised by some of the aesthetic industry’s most experienced and influential physician practitioners. Once you complete this course, you’ll have all the knowledge, experience, and confidence you need to successfully integrate aesthetic injectables into your practice along with a botox certification! And whether you choose the hybrid training option and meet with us in our training facility in Beverly Hills or the virtual option that allows you to become certified from the comfort of your own home, you can expect an incredibly positive, supportive, and illuminating training experience.
